Karl's Taking Over.
Karl Lagerfield is an artist like no other. 'I've got my feet on the ground, but this collection is up-to-earth not down-to-earth', strategically (as this post title tells) he was placed under a revolving globe, rightfully claiming the runway as his own worldly haven, brilliant.
There is always a particular aesthetic that graces the Chanel runways, distinguishing it from the rest. While there was sweet pastels and soft palettes, the dark globe presented a seductive feel, working well with the darker pieces. Thigh cut pieces offered some leg, as Tim Blanks wrote, 'felt more Karl than Coco.' I'm much more of a grunge/dark/layered inspired being in terms of my clothing choices, so I did appreciate the combination of the Chanel tradition with darker, tones, consistent chains and great tweed.
What did you guys think of the Chanel RTW collection? Don't you just love those globe purses?
Love,
Carla xx.

I loved the whole concept and the incorporation of the globes in the collection! But what really sold me was the beauty look - wish I could pull it off to wear every day...!
