The craziness hasn't seemed to have slowed down since the semester finished, I guess it comes down to getting into the habit of wondering what you should be doing with your time now that your not required to sleep with your pages of notes and textbooks. I'll admit, while my head isn't embedded in the books I've found myself to still be quite busy (more on that later!)
There is something about leather, quilted leather particularly (woven too). Whether it comes down to lusting over a classic Chanel bag or this Zara leather, I argue that quilted leather invites itself into my dreams on a regular basis, whether I use my purchasing habits to reinforce its existence, I argue that it is completely necessary in one's wardrobe. Yes?
Here in Australia, Summer is well and truly here (40 degrees on the first day of summer, says to me it likes to enter with a bang..), so its probably a question as to why I chose to use so much leather in one post, but like 'denim on denim', I find leather to be the necessary staple pieces one should keep in their wardrobes. Whether its a jacket, pants, skirt, shorts, harem pants and even a leather cap, there is never anything wrong with a little bit of leather love in ones life!
This Maurie and Eve top is something that I've been wanting to share with you guys for quite a while. Its transparent aesthetic and texture can add so much to an outfit, I'd often opt for a black bralette underneath, but don't really think its necessary with this sheer top because the subtle detailing is already quite busy and doesn't require much more. This top works really well under low-cut items as to show a pop of detail peeking out.
The Swarovski necklace was a gift from a friend of mine from Hong Kong. The contrast of metal hardware and delicate crystals really had me head-over-heels for this piece. I do think that having few but beautiful, versatile pieces like this can really add to an outfit, acknowledging that they are not just restricted to that one single outfit.
Can't get enough of these Thurley shoes!
So, in the coming few weeks I have some super exciting projects coming up that I cannot wait to share with you all. Within this time, I'll be sharing with you some inspiration that I've gathered for these exciting collaborations, but that's all I can say so far! Make sure your following me on Instagram and Facebook for these regular updates! Expect some more outfit posts this week too :)
Love,
Carla xx.
